World's first computer?

The world's first computer is a matter of debate as there were many early computing devices developed in different parts of the world, each with their own unique features and capabilities. However, the most widely recognized "first computer" is the "Atanasoff-Berry Computer" or ABC, developed by John Vincent Atanasoff and Clifford Berry in the late 1930s and early 1940s in the United States.

The ABC was an electronic digital computer that used binary digits (bits) to represent data and performed calculations using a system of capacitors and electronic switches. It was designed to solve systems of linear equations and was the first computer to use binary arithmetic and electronic switching elements, making it a pioneering effort in the development of modern digital computers.

Although the ABC was not a fully functional general-purpose computer, its innovations paved the way for the development of more advanced machines in the future.
