What is CRT?

CRT stands for "Cathode Ray Tube." It is a type of electronic display device that was commonly used in older televisions and computer monitors.

A CRT consists of a vacuum tube that contains an electron gun and a phosphorescent screen. The electron gun emits a beam of electrons that is focused and directed by magnetic fields to strike the phosphorescent screen, causing it to emit light and create an image. The image is created by varying the intensity and position of the electron beam as it strikes different parts of the screen.

Although CRTs have largely been replaced by newer display technologies such as LCDs and LEDs, they were a major advancement in electronic display technology and were used for several decades.
